Office assistant:
Help clean and maintain the office, help clean and maintain equipment for parties, work on websites and party photography. Applicant should be proficient in English and be able to speak "business" English with proper diction and minimal street slang. We welcome students with a second language. Light typing and good spelling is helpful.
This job may require some telephone research so a good telephone voice may be needed.

Dominion Catering is a full service catering company. We cater over two hundred fifty major events each year.
We are interviewing students to help us prepare for these events. Beautiful parties don't happen by magic it takes planning and hard work. We cook the food, clean and polish the serving equipment, launder the linens, load the vans, serve the guests, reload and re-clean the equipment.
Students help maintain the office, plan the menus, do the marketing and clean and organize the equipment.
Applicants should live and go to high school within 5 miles of our office and have reliable transportation. We understand that school is your first priority and we adjust your schedule accordingly.
Because this profession demands more responsibility from our co-workers, students can expect more pay*, free meals, tips from clients, gifts from clients (on occasion) and a better business education than many jobs allow. *Than most chain stores pay.

If you have expensive fingernails this would not be a good job because your nails will get wet occasionally and you will be doing some physical work that may / would break them.
Catering is physical work. Applicants must be in very good health, be able to lift 25% of their weight and able to be on their feet several hours at a time. Please don't apply if you have chronic back problems.
A flexible schedule is very important because we in the industry never know when, where or how long the next job may be. The Party Station DJs is an entertainment company that motivates clients and their guests to have fun and laugh with themselves. We do party games, field games, musical games, face painting, dance instruction, illusions and karaoke. Students working with us prepare the equipment, load the equipment, help on the parties by organizing the clients, find specialized music and make digital music CDs.
